Gettin' His Hair Did

It worked for Billy Ray...

...but not so much for my son.

I'm talking about a mullet.

Mmmm-hmmm. After putting it off as long as possible, I finally decided to cut Dawson's hair. After all, I never thought the day would even come, seeing as how he was relatively bald the entire first year of his life.

Not anymore.

My original plan was to cut it while he was taking a bath, but then I realized he's never, ever still while he's in the bathtub. No workie.

So, I decided to seize the first opportunity that he was still enough. Which was, of course, while he was standing on our barstools, watching old Sesame Street episodes with his daddy on YouTube. Please excuse the large explosion of random crap in the background.

Going in...

Cutting the cord...

The finished product. Dawson was relatively still the entire time, so all in all, it was a success.

What people will pay large sums of money for on E-Bay one day...

I don't like how quickly the pages in his baby book are filling up. As soon as one milestone passes, the next one is happening!

That is hilarious. My little boy had a mullet as well, but as soon as he turned one we took care of that! haha!!

My best friend Elizabeth just cut her son's mullet too! I can't even imagine Gavin's hair being that long. Wow. Dawson looks oh so handsome!

He is such a big boy!!! You did an absolute wonderful job on his hair.

The baby book comment is so true. I have had to move to a little journal to keep up with Vance and Jack's is quickly filling up too.

Oh, his new hair do looks so good! Maybe if you get tired of real estate, you can be a beautician?

Looks great! :)

I love that you watch Sesame Street on You Tube. We do the same thing. Jordyn's very favorite thing though is watching Elmo's Song. It doesn't matter what she's doing when I put it on, she comes to a complete stop and is glued to the computer!
