I'll Have Some Valium with a Side of Crown, Please

My brother left for Afghanistan yesterday.

Sedate me now.

He'll only be gone for 4 months - which could be the shortest deployment in the history of the armed forces (yay!) - but he'll be east of nowhere in a warzone, so that's kind of the reason I need some narcotics.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...
Jason and my parents...
My hero and me...
Some cuddly time with Krystal and Zoey...

Please, please pray for Jason and the other soldiers every day.

The bright side of this is that we get to have a major par-tay in April when he comes back!

Oh, your post just brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Jason, for defending our freedom. May God bless you and your family while you are apart.

How about you come down tomorrow and spend the day with me and some pain meds and we'll break out some crown out of the liquor cabinet!

Seriously, I have been waiting on this post. It makes me so sad to see Jason going over there, but at the same time, I am so proud of him. Thank you Jason!

Your brother will definitely be in my prayers, Lauren!! I can't imagine what it must be like to say goodbye and all you can do is just pray that God will keep him safe. He truly is a hero!!

Only you could make such a bitter-sweet post a laugh!

I am excited and worried and proud and scared all at the same time, so I can only imagine how you feel! And Krystal... bless her heart! I don't know how she'll do it! You know I'll pray every single day!

I know that had to be the hardest thing ever. I am praying for him.

I admire anyone who serves this country. I really do.

This post brings a tear to my eye!

Your brother is so brave and selfless for defending our freedom. I know that while his leave is very sad and scary, that each of you are very proud.

I promise to keep him in my prayers as well as your family.

Well, I have both the requested sedatives at my house, so feel free to drop by anytime! Just think, come April I can make my first cake to spell out "WHOO-HOO!"

I am so glad Jason will be gone for four months (NOT 15 like Derek because that is insane). Four months is LOOOONG enough! I know the goodbyes weren't easy. Such a pretty family you have. I'll be praying, sista!
