Hi, Jason!

Oh, people, I am so excited because my brother called my SIL from Afghanistan today!!! He is doing good, and asked that I post some pictures of the Zomeister on my blog so he can see them. His e-mail is really, really slow, so it works better for him to look at the blog. If you want to leave him a comment on this post, that would be great!

Jason - I love you and miss you! I'm glad you're ok and I'm glad you're in a hard building inside the wire. Don't go on too many helicopter rides. Krystal got her hair cut like Miranda on General Hospital and it looks fabulous...you will love it. Zoey tried to take Dawson's bottle away from him yesterday...hilarious!! It's been rainy here but not too cold. Lots of people ask me about you and are praying for you and are grateful for what you're doing. Jeff and Leatha sent you an e-mail...I forwarded it to you and I hope you got it. Please be careful!!!!! Here are some pictures for you...love you, Ross...

Hey Jay!
Sorry the e-mail is so slow, but at least you have access to a computer occasionally. And from your last note to Krystal it sounds like there's actually a lot to be thankful for! We love and miss you, of course, and I can't wait to rub that bald head of yours again!!

Jason,
What up word? I can't really even wrap my head around you being all the way over there in the land of sand, but I think it's amazing and I am so proud! I'm praying for you and your speedy return... you have a beautiful and soon to be sassy, I'm sure, little girlie girl who needs you! :-) Dude, she'll be so proud too!

Keep it real... and little ghetto of course!

Hi Jason,
I think we met a time or so. I am Laurens friend and also known as Aunt Michelle to Dawson.
I pray you stay safe, and for a quick return back home.
I know you miss your family and hopefully time will go by fast.
My 7 yr old thinks "soldiers" are the neatest, so to him you are pretty darn cool since you are Dawson's uncle.

Take care,

Jason-
Thank you so much for the sacrifice you are making for all of us back here at home. My family and I are so grateful for your service.

We have, too, been through deployment. My husband was in Iraq for 15 months (ugh!) and is a Medevac helicopter pilot. I was 5 months pregnant when he left and our daughter was 10 months old when he got back. Deployment is tough but you are so blessed with such an amazing family and support system behind you. Your daughter and wife are so beautiful (which you already knew that), and your sister is one of my all-time favorite people ever.

Be safe and know that we will be praying for you. I hope this time passes quickly and you will be back with your little precious Zoey in no time. Thanks again for what you are doing for our nation!

Take care of yourself,
Leigh Ann

Okay, I have come back to this post about a hundred times, I just can't really say anything meaningful enough though. My brother was in Iraq three years ago this Christmas. It was a very difficult time for our family. He's home and safe now, but I still tear up every time I think about it. Thank you, Jason, for your service and sacrifice, and Lauren-just know that he's in our prayers.

ps...I watch GH and for the life of me can't remember who Miranda is!
