Yes, I Am Alive!

Do you ever feel like your hours are minutes and your minutes are seconds?? It's been more than a week since I've posted anything and I haven't even noticed!

I got a couple of e-mails from my fellow bloggies saying, "Are you ALIVE??" Yes, I am and thanks for checking on me!

Here's what's been keeping me busy:

"Are you kidding? I JUST woke up. Get the camera out of my face."
"This toy is so cool. Is Zoey still down there?"
"I expect my milk to be perfectly heated when you show me to my dressing room."
"Thank you for paying attention. I will reward you with a smile."
"I said, when is dinner going to be ready??"

Moms of multiples: I salute you.
Moms of children who are extremely close in age: I salute you.

But, do not get me wrong - I love having Zoey stay with us. I hope that she and Dawson will be very close as they grow up!

Hangin' With the Hortons

Following the walk on Saturday, Leigh Ann, Derek, Moo, Web,and Meagan came over to our house for a little pizza and quality time. We had so much fun just talking and eating and seeing how bad the ladies could whip the men at Catch Phrase.

This? Is beauty on a couch.
Dawson LOVES Leigh Ann...
...and Leigh Ann's hair.
Our sweet and handsome husbands!

We all met up Sunday morning at Mimi's to have brunch and say good-bye to the Hortons as they left to go back to Arkansas. Sadness. We are planning a trip to Arkansas to see them very soon!

Also? There's an empty lot next to my house that is just SCREAMING "Build a house on me" And, Moo and Web are building their new dreamhome on a plot the size of Montana. It could soooo fit another house. Just sayin.' No pressure at ALL, though.

A Walk on the Wild Side

Ok, so maybe "wild" is a bit of an exaggeration, but Saturday's Walk Now for Autism at the Nashville Superspeedway was busy, crowded and FUN!

Our team, "For the Love of Evan" more than $1,000...exceeding our goal and making all of us oh-so-happy! Thank you to everyone that donated. You played a big part in making the walk such a success. We are very thankful and so are Evan's parents, Leigh Ann and Derek.

Megan, Meagan and I worked the registration tables prior to the walk actually beginning as we anxiously and excitedly awaited Leigh Ann and Derek's arrival. You would not believe the people that came just to support friends or family...one guy just happened to be working maintenance at the track on Saturday and just wanted to donate money - forget walking. He wrote a $200 check. What a big heart!
This was registration at the beginning...closer to walk time, it looked like Disney World.
I think we scared the snot out of about 50 people standing at the registration tables when Leigh Ann and Derek sneaked up on us. We SCREAMED with joy and basically tackled them.
We raised $160,000 for autism research. Yay, us!! And this is just the first year!
Me and my slightly delapidated "For the Love of Evan!" sign. It was a tiny bit hot. And windy. But so much fun and definitely one of the best fundraisers I have ever been to.

We can't wait for next year!!

Dawson is Eight Months Old!

It is hard to believe that he has been here for EIGHT WHOLE MONTHS! It seems like yesterday that I was hauling myself and his newborn clothes into the nursery, putting things away and praying that he would hurry up and be born already.

Now? He is a ham. He loves his juice, his jumpy seat and his Gran. He can say "mama" and "dada" and "baba", and loves to play peek-a-boo.

Give him his bottle and he's good. Just like a man.
Who says white men can't jump?
His favorite toy: Your hair.
Speaking of hair...does anyone else see this??? That his hair is RED????

We love you, Dawson!!

Technical Difficulties

(Huge sigh.) Y'all? My camera is messing up. It's not loading pictures and says "file not found" every time I try to do it.

So, I'm going to go to try and fix it.

In the meantime, here's what every Vol fan looked like last night after overtime was over (and I mean OVER):
